Introduction

Hello, I am Graham Duckenfield I have lived and worked most of my life in Doncaster.

I specialise in watercolours, mostly of landscapes, but I am regularly commissioned to paint animals and architecture. My work has been exhibited in local and regional exhibitions for many years.

After many years of being involved and working in the environmental movement, I have, in recent times concentrated on producing a series of landscapes featuring Doncaster’s historical buildings and landmarks, with the aim of encouraging people to appreciate the surroundings in which they live. I believe that seeing our familiar surroundings recreated in a watercolour painting often helps to give a different perspective to how we view our environment.

My paintings feature in private collections all over the world, including: Ireland, Germany, Canada, Australia, USA and South Africa.

I now work from my new garden studio at my home in Balby, Doncaster, which includes a small gallery to display my work. Visitors are most welcome by appointment.
